PetroleumEmployment.com was founded by oil and gas professionals - not web designers, not employment agencies, not people from outside of the business. Our mission is to become the world's leading petroleum employment website. We plan to do this by providing a site that’s created and managed by a team of people with the right knowledge to understand how to attract the right people. As professionals in the business, we have used a number of other websites for recruiting personnel, and our opinion is that the other websites have "missed the mark" on how an oil and gas recruiting website should function. Other people may have invented the oil and gas recruiting website.....but our goal is to perfect it.
Founded in August of 2009, PetroleumEmployment.com started attracting over 10,000 visitors per month in just over 6 weeks after launching the site. Search results on Google for “Oil and Gas Jobs”, or “Petroleum Employment” will regularly show us near the top of the search results list. Our goal is to attract over 25000 visitors to the site by the end of 2009.
- What is the Purpose of Our Website?
PetroleumEmployment.com is a “Jobs Portal” website. This is a website where oil and gas operating companies and service companies can post jobs, and look for employees. The site is designed to let employers post jobs, and then job seekers can apply for those jobs. Job seekers can also post their CV for free, and then let employers find them. We only work with oil and gas companies and we only post jobs related to the petroleum sector.

We believe that our site is just better designed. People can enter in CVs faster. Companies can exclude undesirable nationalities when they search for CVs. Job postings are easy to find within the site. Job titles are not confusing. Applying for a job could not be easier.
Our managers come from the drilling and production sides of the business. We know what the job descriptions mean!
This is not a page for news. It is not a page to see how many rigs are running around the world. This is not a page where you can get lost in a sea of information! This is a dedicated recruiting website for Petroleum Employment. That’s it!
